Caris Tiivel (February 27, 1993) is an Australian Fashion Model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Australia 2016. She represented Australia at Miss Universe 2016 in the Philippines.
She joined a modeling competition in Perth when she was 17 and her career took off from there.
She made headlines for her Great Barrier Reef-inspireed gown at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant
Tiivel represented Australia at Miss Universe 2016 but failed to place in the Top 13. This is the second time that Australia has failed to place in the semifinals since 2008. The first time was three years earlier when Olivia Wells failed to place in Miss Universe 2013.
