Amanda Ammann, born on 8th January 1987 in Uzwil (Switzerland), was crowned Miss Switzerland on 13th October 2007 in Zurich. During her year as Miss Switzerland, she was the face of several renowned brands, such as Lancia, Lenovo, Nivea, Balmain Watches and Remington, and was featured in the English Magazine "Vanity Fair". Furthermore, she supported various non-profit organizations as an ambassador. In 2010, Amanda graduated from the University of Geneva with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Between 2011 and 2013 she undertook postgraduate studies at the University of St. Gallen and earned a Master's degree in International Affairs and Governance. During and after her academic studies, she worked for private, governmental and non-governmental entities in Spain, the Philippines, India, Singapore and Switzerland in the field of sustainability, social entrepreneurship and drinking water supply. In autumn 2016 she obtained a Master's degree in human rights, peace and sustainable development from the University of Valencia, Spain. Amanda is still a coveted commercial face and occasionally hosts corporate events and galas. She speaks English, French, German and Spanish.
